You should not let anyone else dictate what you can do and cannot do.
When I was still studying in the University of Applied Sciences, I heard from quite a few places that I cannot get into University from there, or at least I cannot make it there if I get in.
I decided not to care about this and apply anyways.
I got it.
And I made it.
University studies were definitely more demanding than in the University of Applied Sciences, but my motivation was high and the topics interested me tremendously. I also worked hard.
In 2017, I graduated with a degree of Master of Science in Economics with above 4 average grade. I received the best possible grade for my thesis and I also received a scholarship for successful studies at the graduation ceremony.
In 2018, I won Miltton’s ‘best thesis of the year’ competition and received the € 3,000 prize.
This week, together with three marketing professors, we completed an academic article (waiting to be published). The article is based on my thesis and its further research on the implementation of marketing automation.
I cannot feel anything else than being super happy.
And this is also a good reminder that you should not let anyone else dictate what you can do and cannot do. It’s ultimately up to you and in most cases, you can achieve much more than you think.
